Navy Diver going for a personal record on a CrossFit workout called “Fran”. Fran is 21-15-9 reps of 95 lb thrusters and pull ups done continuously and for time. The lower the time, the better the score. Jeremy’s sponsored by Forged Clothing and a CrossFit Forged Team member, look for him at the ’09 CrossFit Games! ForgedClothing.com

Lat size? What?! It’s not about size. You should ignore people who suggest kipping means more power (more reps in less time); the biomechanics are different and it’s not the point. You can indeed get a better whole body and cardio workout by kipping. Go ahead and take 10 minutes to do 100 strict pullups, I will do mine in a quarter of the time… and then, when I feel like wasting my time, I will still do more strict pull-ups than those who can hardly do much else.

i did the kipping pullup for about 2 months reps when up but lat size went down!!! crossfit is not the answer to all of your fitness goals.. when did cheating on form become ok? just for fuction?

@potatoeman56 honestly your right the whole purpose of kipping is to get more repetitions in and it works more parts of your body then a traditional dead hang pull up have you ever tryed kipping not as easy as it looks

just wondering I’m going into the Army in a few months and if we do pullups are we allowed to use our abs and legs as much as the guy in this video did….I’ve always just tried to isolate my back and arms when doing pullups but obviously given this workout, you have to use everything you got!
