those arent 55lb kb’s…those are 16lb
this kind of intense training is definitely survival of the fittest, I grew up in a redneck infested shit hole town where they believe the bigger you are the “tuffer” you are, bull shit if you do these kind of exercises you will kick some serious ass…functional strength…
these guys aren’t even real fighters

btw i never saw a guy that built mass using crossfit. Actually those blokes with fat bellies seem to be demotivating. They are talking about hand skin thickness lol its a natural thing for every gym goer
There are a lot of other people who “crosstrain” that can blow Crossfitters numbers out of the water in standard test of strength and conditioning. You will get good at doing WOD’s, which tend to have a heavy focus on muscle endurance. You will remain average at strength and conditioning in my opinion.
I was recently challenged by a Crossfitter to do the 6000 lbs WOD. I would have been 2nd in his class on my first try doing it. When I looked at their 100 burpee time, I would have been 1st.
Crossfit is good as an overall fitness program that really gives you fitness advantage against other normal people. It is very intensive and it makes it better than normal average training. But crossfit suffers from lack of specialized crossfit workouts. For example crossfitter will always loose with a footballer or rugby player on the field. So while crossfiters are better that normal gym goers crossfit would improve by building up specialized crossfit genres like crossfit in rugby etc.
@bucasas it should be physically impossible to do it easily. if you scale the workouts properly it should be like dieing every time

No doubt you would be cardio fit doing this.. but that was not my point….
LOL at Whitelies1992, first off the deadlift is about the the most useless form of lifting there is, its over done and there are better exercises for your lower back that are less stressful. You want the mother of all exercises?

About the training; I understand the concept completely. Yeah, I may start w/ less weight and slower, more precise movements, because these guys definitely sway w/ momentum and dont focus on perfecting each rep, but it looks like a great work out if youre in shape to do it, if youre not, youll naturally cheat.
I have no issue with what you do but how you do it.
Sacrificing technique, control, precision for this obsessive bull shit for a better time on your angy, suzy, tracy or whatever.

And why do you guys need to have your shirt off most of the time. Its very homo-erotic which is ok if your into that sort of thing but you pretty much alienate 50% of your market right there. And don’t even get me started on your overhead kettlebell swing technique.
i fight AND do crossfit and have noticed that crossfit has helped my fight cardio substantially.
fuck you man. if you’re in shape to do crossfit routines easily, you wouldnt be talking shit about it.
some of the worst form i have ever seen 3:15 that is a back injury waiting to happen, why the fuck do you need to add to the mother of all excersises the deadlift. Crossfit fucks with was doesnt need to be. just because its harder doesnt make it better IDIOTS

Whats weird is even the “crossfitters” do not know how to properly do ALL the movements. Special attn should be placed on technique before conditioning, obviously your technique will fail if you are conditioning past a certain point. Then I would say stop.
I agree with phattube7. Your not proving anything here other than they are 2 opposites. Have that crossfitter do 5x5min rounds with some thai pads. There argument is the anaerobic work out is the same as fighting. Like all good “Programs” what makes them successful is marketing. Crossfit markets to fighters, so there trying to show what could take you to that next big level!!!
are you trying to prove something here?? putting a fighter up against a crossfit regular? of course the crossfit regular is going to be better at crossfit! put the crossfitter into the ring with the fighter and there would be no challenge…. this is all one sided
Agreed grumpiking. The last rep isn’t over until you PLACE the weight back…not throw it or let it drop. I wonder how those plastic plates got so bent up?
I’ve seen 2 plates (45 lbs.), a leg curl machine, and a tricep press-down machine all get broken that way.
In other news, that was one killer looking routine! Way to go Jason!
